A new international Assumption Volunteer has just joined our volunteers in Newcastle for a two-month summer experience. She will join the Kids Kabin crew over the summer months.
Nuria comes from Madrid and is a university student in Biology. “I love volunteering and working with children, I used to do be very involved in my parish in the past, but over the last year my involvement stopped because my university studies became so demanding. I took the summer break as an opportunity to reconnect with my passion for serving the community and working with children. I also wanted to widen my horizons having an international experience… and the opportunity to improve my English!”
Nuria learned about the Assumption Volunteers programme searching the internet… just to discover that a community of Assumption Sisters lived only a few minutes from her parents’ house in Madrid! Now she is also enthusiastic about learning more about the Assumption spirituality and way of life.
Good luck Nuria with you mission in Newcastle!
